The Wizard of Oz

The visual inspiration for this production of The Wizard of Oz was Scottie Young's comic illustrations from the Marvel graphic novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz from 2009. Many elements were designed to be or feel two dimensional in three dimensional form. As this was the summer theater camp production, we also incorporated the children into the design process, giving them various crafts to do and incorporating their designs into the production.
