The Color Purple

Music by Brenda Russell, Allee Willis, and Stephen Bray; Book by Marsha Norman

This show spans five decades and includes an imagined scene of an African tribe, so costuming it was quite a challenge. We built all of Africa, the pants for Miss Celie's Pants, and Sofia's first two dresses.
